Taking your own product photographs'

Diana Oliveira (Contact)
Product & Lifestyle Photographer

Diana Oliveira is a freelance Product Photographer based in Cardiff. She completed a BA (Hons) in Photographic Art
in 2011 and later specialised in Still Life Studio Photography. Diana Oliveira Photography started in 2014 combining
love for still life photography with the desire to help creative businesses and independent makers show their
products in the best light.

This practical workshop introduces participants to tips and techniques for taking photographs of their
products/artworks. Participants will learn the basics of digital photography as well as simple ways of lighting and
styling their products for social media, blogs and online shops. There will be hands-on tasks in a relaxed
environment and participants will be able to photograph a chosen object using simple, fuss-free techniques.

Suitable for anyone who needs to photograph products/artworks for social media and blogs.

Participants will be asked to bring their own digital camera (this can be a DSLR or compact digital camera), a tripod,
an object (preferably one of their own products/artworks), a notepad and pen.

Topics covered during the session:
· The basics (camera settings)
· Lighting (working with natural light)
· Styling (backdrop and props)
· Composition and framing
· Introduction to Image editing (enhancing photographs)

 The seminar takes place: 11:00am – 4.00pm

10th October 2018

The non refundable cost for taking part is £10/person payable via cheque or BACS.
