ASTUTE 2020/NatWest/Industry Wales Event: Innovation & Knowledge Exchange - Investing in Future Manufacturing Technologies

ASTUTE 2020 will be jointly hosting a free breakfast event with NatWest Business and Industry Wales on Thursday 7th February in B001, Engineering Central, College of Engineering, Bay Campus, Swansea University, Fabian Way, Swansea. Registration and breakfast will open at 7:30am.

 The event will focus on the benefits of Future Manufacturing Technologies i.e. disruptive technologies and will showcase how ASTUTE 2020 is supporting the manufacturing industry adapt to change. It will also offer businesses the opportunity to hear first-hand from the experts and business advisors about the support on offer to help businesses exploit opportunities and add value to their manufacturing business.

 Speakers will include:

·         Prof Hans Sienz, ASTUTE 2020 Operation Director, who will talk about the ways that companies can gain a competitive advantage through Future Manufacturing Technologies;

·         Richard Hill, Head of Automotive & Manufacturing at the Royal Bank of Scotland, who has a breadth of experience in supporting businesses, having worked in the sector for over 25 years. Richard continues to work closely with industry, representing the banking industry on the main UK Automotive Council;

·         James Davies, Industry Wales, who will inform attendees of how Industry Wales are helping to grow Welsh technology and manufacturing businesses globally. Industry Wales provide a range of services to support companies already established within Wales and to attract and support companies that are seeking a world-class location for their business.

·         Mark Langshaw or Matthew Price, Continental Teves, who will discuss the benefits of their industry-academia collaboration with ASTUTE 2020 and the impact this has had on their business.
