The Original Transmissions Art Collective Ignites Abertillery with Debut Exhibition

The Original Transmissions Art Collective has officially launched in Abertillery, making its debut with a powerful first exhibition at the Queen of Arts pop-up space in The Arcade.

Formed by Sarah T of Till Death Us Do Art, Olivia Marshall of Queen of Arts, Mart Roberts of Neon Noir, and Gavin Robinson of Von Boom Industries, the collective was built on a shared belief in creative independence, mutual support, and raising the profile of local artists through collaboration rather than competition.

The launch exhibition brought together the founding members’ work alongside many talented local artists from across the region. The opening night was buzzing, with creatives, families, musicians, and supporters filling the space and proving that Blaenau Gwent’s creative energy is very much alive.

The Original Transmissions Art Collective is focused on building momentum organically through exhibitions, shared projects, and community-driven opportunities. By combining different artistic voices under one banner, the group aims to strengthen visibility for independent creatives while keeping authorship and direction firmly in the hands of artists themselves.

The evening carried on with a live folk band performance and an impromptu karaoke session that spilled out into the night, capturing exactly what the collective stands for: creativity, community, and connection without barriers.

This first exhibition marks the beginning of an ongoing creative movement rooted in the Valleys and powered by collaboration.

More exhibitions and projects are already in development.
