This webinar looks at Maintaining Equality and Dignity at work, aiming to outline how discrimination can arise, along with outlining the responsibilities placed on employers.
We will cover the following:
- Promoting equality and dignity at work is essential for creating a positive and inclusive work environment.
- The ways employers can achieve this by implementing policies and practices that ensure fair treatment, equal opportunities, and respect for all employees regardless of their background or characteristics.
- We will look at discrimination in the workplace, what constitutes discrimination, when it can take place and the different forms of Discrimination. Bullying and Harassment and the different forms along with the protected characteristics and what your employers’ responsibilities and liabilities are under the Equality act 2010.
- It is important to foster a culture of diversity and inclusion, where everyone feels valued and respected. Training programs, awareness campaigns, and regular communication can help reinforce these values and promote a work environment where employees feel engaged and valued.
- We will also consider management styles and whether they can help or hinder, setting a good example, fostering an inclusive atmosphere within the workplace, correct guidance, and support to develop a positive workplace.
Important - This event is for Welsh based small and medium-sized enterprises and is restricted to two delegates per business.
