Wisdom Wednesday is a weekly drop-in at Goldworks, where an expert in a select field, bases themselves in the coworking space for the day; with the caveat that you: our members and local businesses, are able to book 1-1 advice sessions with them throughout the day.

Blaenau Gwent CBC’s STEM Facilitation Project (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths), is a project funded by Welsh Government’s Tech Valleys programme. The project offers a co-ordinated programme of STEM support for schools, centred on industry. We are also encompassing Arts – Creative Industries in our offer.
The main aim of the project is to raise awareness of STEM opportunities amongst children in both primary and secondary education and to engage them positively in STEM learning, increasing aspiration and attainment in STEM subjects and STEM related career pathways and arming them with as much information as to what is possible both in careers using STEM subjects and in the quality and opportunities of working in local businesses. Employers can provide a real-world context for a wide range of learning experiences across the curriculum, showcasing the very many employment opportunities and sign-posting young people to the types of skills that are both in demand now and will be more-so in the future.
