Launch of The Original Transmissions Art Collective and First Exhibition in Abertillery

The Original Transmissions Art Collective has officially been formed following a collaborative exhibition in June 2025 at Goldworks in Ebbw Vale, where a number of local artists connected and began shaping a shared vision.

Bringing together creative practitioners from across Blaenau Gwent and the wider Valleys, the collective was created to encourage collaboration, shared opportunities, and long-term creative growth within the local community.

To mark the formation of the collective, its first official exhibition will take place on Saturday, 21st February 2026 at 5 pm at the Queen of Arts / 50 Squirrels pop-up shop in Abertillery Shopping Arcade.

The exhibition features work from:

• Till Death Us Do Art / Sarah T.
• Queen of Arts (Live Life by Liv) / Olivia Marshall
• Neon Noir / Mart Roberts
• Von Boom / Von Boom Industries / Gavin Robinson
• Plus additional local artists

The aim of The Original Transmissions Art Collective is to build meaningful connections between artists, strengthen the local creative network, and provide accessible platforms for exhibiting work across Blaenau Gwent.

The opening night is free to attend and open to all.

This marks the beginning of a new creative network rooted firmly in the Valleys.
