Wisdom Wednesday: Apprenticeships

Wisdom Wednesday: Apprenticeships

Date of event: 14.05.25
Time of event: 10:00 - 16:00

Goldworks, Mill Lane, Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent, NP23 6GR

Wisdom Wednesday is a weekly drop-in at Goldworks, where an expert in a select field, bases themselves in the coworking space for the day; with the caveat that you: our members and local businesses, are able to book slots to ask advice of them throughout the day.

On 14th May, BGCBC’s Aspire are at Goldworks to provide tailored guidance for both individuals seeking apprenticeship opportunities and businesses looking to host apprentices. They offer expert advice on how apprenticeships can meet workforce needs, navigate recruitment and training pathways, and ensure mutual benefits for employers and apprentices alike.

Aspire's dynamic Shared Apprenticeship Programme is designed to support local businesses in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, by employing apprentices and placing them with host companies. Aspire helps bridge skills gaps, foster workforce development, and drive business growth. This initiative not only addresses skills shortages but also provides young people with meaningful career opportunities.

You can book a slot with Graham to talk all things apprenticeships by contacting us via email (business@blaenau-gwent.gov.uk) or telephone (01495 369496).

This event is exclusively for Blaenau Gwent businesses and/or CURRENT Goldworks members.
